Programmer Analyst Intern – 2027

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work with managers and teams to define project milestones and deliverables.
• Participate in daily scrums and development team reviews.
• Support platform migrations and configuration activities.
• Modify internal tools and service-level applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot system and application issues.
• Write code, develop unit tests, and integrate software components.
• Gather, analyze, communicate, and validate software requirements.
• Work with Amazon engineering tools and AWS services, including S3, DynamoDB, and EC2.

Required Qualifications & Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, and Coding.
• Ability to write clean code and solve basic data structure and algorithm problems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.
• Experience building software applications through internships, academic projects, hackathons, or personal projects.
• Ability to read, understand, debug, and troubleshoot existing code.
• Understanding of software engineering practices, including design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
• Must be available for the entire internship duration on a full-time basis.
• A university-signed declaration confirming availability for the full internship duration is required for the internship offer.

Required Technical Skills & Tools

• Java (preferred), C++, C#, Python, SQL, Perl, XML, Ruby, Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, Debugging, Unit Testing, Version Control, Software Development

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to web services and modern web technologies.
• Knowledge of schedulers, workflows, state machines, multithreading, and networking protocols.
• Exposure to AWS services such as S3 and DynamoDB.
• Ability to develop simple and effective solutions without over-engineering.
• Strong initiative and ownership.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
